I am reading ‘How To Own the Room’ by Viv Groskop at the moment and one quote struck me that I thought could apply to all entrepreneurs or small business owners who struggle with imposter syndrome (and we all do sometimes!).

This is relevant on two points:
Firstly, we have a programme of free networking meetings coming up in Epsom (dates below) and I want you to all feel like you ‘belong in the room’.
Secondly, our guest speaker this month will be talking all about uplevelling your game, so that quote should be very much forefront of mind as you take on her advice.

We have the next Small Business Collab Networking Meeting and we’d love to see you there. Taking place 9-11am at the Caballo Lounge Epsom, the event is free, but for the price of a coffee. Come along and hear our guest speaker, mingle with other local business owners and have a general chat about the trials and tribulations of being an entrepreneur.
Sarah Collins, Communication Coach and Consultant
Sarah is a Communication Coach & Consultant, with more than 20 years experience working in the television production industry.
Sarah worked at ITV Daytime on Good Morning Britain, Lorraine and This Morning as well as, more recently, ITN, creating content for brands and businesses. Sarah has worked with organisations and charities across every sector, helping them raise awareness and tell their stories.
Sarah is also a qualified life coach, gaining a qualification with The Coaching Academy, training which is accredited by the International Federation of Coaching (ICF).
Sarah has now combined these skills to help empower business owners master effective communication and amplify their message, so they can elevate their brand and achieve long-lasting success.
At our meeting on the 22nd, Sarah will share her unique perspective and knowledge on how to communicate effectively, and will give you her top tips on pitching to the press so you can get more exposure for your business.

Christmas Lunch at the Small Business
Co-Llab plus co-work for the morning
Fancy sharing a Christmas Lunch or a Co-Working space for a morning?
We are hosting a Co-working morning on Friday 6th December 9-12noon. Come along and have a coffee and a chat but get a project done at the same time.
Last month, Cate Butler Ross of The Luminous gave a great chat on the importance of a Lead Magnet for your business. It may be an opportunity to set up a Lead Magnet during your three-hour working stint, but you can work on whatever you like.
Plus, ask for tips and advice while you do it from our pool of other networkers working across marketing, design, copy and general business. This is free but we do require you to book in with us to give us an idea of numbers.
Follow it with a Christmas Lunch 12noon, Friday 6th December
Time to be sociable with your fellow local entrepreneurs, freelancers and small business owners. If you would like to join us for the Small Business Collab Christmas Lunch then please let us know.
